MANOWAR ULTIMATE FAN CONTEST

Since the moment I saw Manuel’s post, at the HOD forum, about the UFP contest, I thought to myself, “Here it is the chance to prove that Portugal still breathes Manowar”
Probably I won’t win the contest, but my main goal isn’t that. I want to prove to you, My KINGS, that here, at this corner of Europe where you have played 7 times, there is an army waiting for the moment when the kings will say; “we will play in Portugal again”.
Like all Manowar fans I feel Special. I have been to 4 Manowar concerts: - 1 in Portugal, - Alive 99 – 1 in Spain – Valladolid 2002, and 2 in Germany, at the Earthshaker, what a magical night, and MCF II. And I will be there at MCF III. Reading this, you may think that among the Portuguese I am more special than my brothers, but that is a mistake, because the difference is that I am lucky to be able to afford it, what with the plane ticket and hotel, and all. In this case, I make my own lucky, by working hard and saving my money. I know at least a dozen Manowar Fans that would come to the festival if they could.
So, Manowar, thank you for all that you do for your fans, for all the sacrifice, for all the hard work. If we are special it’s because you make us feel that way.
I hope you enjoy this presentation!
See you soon in Germany, or Portugal, who knows?

My name is Diogo, but at the forums I use Dark Avenger, I think you will understand why!
I consider myself a lucky special fan, because I had the chance to be at all your concerts in Portugal, some in Spain, and also at Earthsaker – In my opinion the greatest Manowar concert! Every moment of those days in Germany were memorable. I remember them all as if it were yesterday.
Unfortunately nowadays, time is precious and it’s hard to find the time to travel and see Manowar outside Portugal. I can’t go to Germany, but I will be at the concert in Spain, like several other Portuguese brothers.
So, Kings Of Metal I still hope that the last words of Eric, here in Portugal – “We will Return! – one day will come true, and I will be at the front row again!

At last I'm a proud warrior of the Lusitanian Warriors – Portuguese Manowar Fan Club...
I'm 54 years old, I'm a Manowar fan for life since 1988... I saw and photograph most of the gigs in Portugal, 2 in Spain, 1 in Italy and 1 in The Netherlands... I can say I',m a lucky guy, I'm a journalist, a photographer, and a fan. I can fight for the cause, and I can contribute to put Manowar up there where is your position on the temple of true heavy metal. I know the band personaly... well I can say no other band call my name as a brother, ask for my family, and give me a shake... thats because that when every motherfucker put you down I'll put you up ... I remember the day that Scott returns to the band and I drive 700 km to see the gig and notice that at a small newspaper in Lisbon, it was my best interview to the moment, and I did some in my life... Scott receive me at the backstage, invite me to dinner, well do you believe this? No other band treat fans like you do... to Manowar, first are the fans, after are the fans, and at last are the fans... every bullshit people can say about this band, better shut up... there is no other band like Manowar, and that's because that I'm a loyal follower until you finish the career... someday in the future!
